Publishing with a Purpose
Brush Arbor Publications works with authors, ministers, families, churches, and ministries to bring biblically grounded and spiritually strengthening works into publication. We are particularly interested in material that contributes to the Church, preserves sound biblical teaching, strengthens Christian living, or places worthwhile ministry into the hands of another generation.
We believe publishing is more than producing a book. It is a form of stewardship. A manuscript may represent years of study and ministry, a message that has shaped a congregation, the testimony of a life lived for Christ, or teaching that deserves to remain available long after it was first written or preached. Our desire is to handle such material carefully and publish it with integrity.
What We Publish
Brush Arbor Publications is a ministry-focused Christian publishing business with particular interest in biblical teaching, holiness and Christian living, sermons and ministry collections, Christian history and biography, devotional works, testimony, and other material consistent with our publishing purpose.
We also consider projects developed from sermons, teaching materials, historical documents, and previously unpublished writings when there is a meaningful reason to preserve them in published form.
Not every manuscript will be a suitable Brush Arbor project. Publication decisions are based not simply on whether a manuscript can become a book, but whether it fits the purpose and direction of Brush Arbor Publications.
Working with Authors
We want the finished work to remain recognizably the author’s. Editing should strengthen a manuscript without unnecessarily replacing the author’s voice.
Depending upon the project, our work may include manuscript evaluation, editing, formatting, cover and interior preparation, print and ebook production, and distribution. The needs of each project are different, and the specific responsibilities of Brush Arbor Publications and the author are established before publication begins.
We also place importance on responsible sourcing and attribution. Quotations, historical material, sermons, illustrations, photographs, and the work of others should be credited appropriately, and permissions should be obtained when required.
Legacy Publishing
Some works deserve to be preserved even when the person who wrote or preached them is no longer able to prepare them for publication.
Brush Arbor Publications considers legacy publishing projects, including posthumous works developed in cooperation with families, churches, or ministries. These projects may draw upon manuscripts, sermon notes, recorded messages, articles, correspondence, teaching materials, photographs, and other surviving records.
Our purpose in legacy publishing is not to create a new voice for someone who can no longer speak for himself or herself. It is to preserve the voice, convictions, ministry, and work that person actually left behind. Editing and organization should serve the original material rather than reshape it into something its author never intended.
When appropriate materials and permissions are available, a legacy project may preserve a single work, collect sermons or writings that would otherwise be scattered or lost, or document the ministry of someone whose influence deserves to be remembered by another generation.
For Brush Arbor Publications, legacy publishing is a natural part of our larger purpose: preserving sound biblical teaching by placing it into the hands of this generation and the generations to come.
Interested in Publishing with Brush Arbor?
If you have a manuscript or publishing project that you believe may fit the purpose of Brush Arbor Publications, we welcome an initial inquiry.
At this stage, there is no need to send a complete manuscript unless requested. Tell us briefly about the proposed work, its purpose, intended audience, approximate length or current status, and why you believe it may be a good fit for Brush Arbor Publications.
For a legacy project, it is also helpful to tell us about the author or minister whose work you hope to preserve, your relationship to that person or ministry, and the materials that are available.

Submission of an inquiry or manuscript does not guarantee acceptance or publication. Any publishing arrangement will be established separately in writing.
