Brush Arbor Publications: A Legacy of Truth, Spirit, and Holiness

By | May 19, 2025

Brush Arbor Publications exists with a singular and sacred purpose: to produce biblically grounded materials shaped by an informed Biblical worldview. Our mission is not merely to publish for publishing’s sake, but to uphold the cause of truth, stir the church to spiritual renewal, and exalt Christ through faithful, Spirit-filled, and transformative literature. Our work stands upon the shoulders of holiness and Pentecostal pioneers who contended earnestly for the faith (Jude 1:3) and pursued personal and corporate revival through the unadulterated Word of God.

The Bible as Our Foundation

At the core of our mission is a steadfast belief in the inspiration, inerrancy, and sufficiency of the Holy Scriptures. We exclusively use the King James Version (KJV) in our published works, maintaining a high view of Scripture as the supreme authority in all matters of faith and life.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” (2 Timothy 3:16).

This verse encapsulates the foundational role of the Word of God in the life of the believer. The publishing ministry of Brush Arbor Publications flows from this truth—we do not aim to innovate the Word, but to faithfully transmit it in ways that awaken, instruct, and sanctify.

We affirm that “the word of our God shall stand for ever” (Isaiah 40:8) and that it “is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword” (Hebrews 4:12). Our materials are crafted to bring readers face to face with this living Word—convicting hearts, stirring worship, and inspiring obedience.

A Biblical Worldview: Seeing Life Through the Lens of Scripture

The term “biblical worldview” has become popular in recent decades, yet its roots run deep in the history of the Christian faith. To hold a biblical worldview is to interpret all aspects of life—personal choices, societal issues, cultural trends, morality, and eternity—through the truth of God’s Word.

As the Apostle Paul exhorted the believers in Rome: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…” (Romans 12:2). A biblical worldview calls believers out of conformity with worldly patterns and into the clarity and conviction that only God’s Word can provide.

Brush Arbor Publications is committed to producing works that help cultivate this worldview—not just in abstract theory but in practical, everyday living. Whether through discipleship guides, devotionals, theological studies, or church resources, we labor to apply the Word to life and life to the Word.

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (Psalm 119:105).

In a time of cultural confusion and spiritual compromise, we seek to guide God’s people by the clear and unchanging light of the Scriptures.

Influenced by Holiness Heritage

Our works are deeply influenced by the legacy of the holiness movement—a revival of heart-purity and separation unto God that swept across continents during the 18th, 19th, and early 20th centuries. Leaders such as John Wesley, Phoebe Palmer, Charles Finney, and many within the American Holiness and Pentecostal traditions emphasized the vital necessity of entire sanctification—a second work of grace that brings freedom from sin and a heart filled with love toward God and neighbor.

The call to holiness is not peripheral to the Christian life—it is central. “Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy” (1 Peter 1:16). This divine summons, quoted from Leviticus 11:44–45, resonates throughout our publishing mission. We desire not merely to inform minds but to inflame hearts with a desire for holy living.

Holiness is not legalism, nor is it merely external conformity. It is a transformation of the inner man, wrought by the Spirit, producing fruits of righteousness. As Paul wrote, “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God” (2 Corinthians 7:1).

Our materials often explore themes such as sanctification, holy conduct, modesty, separation from the world, and the inner workings of the Holy Spirit—all undergirded by Scripture and modeled after the teaching of faithful holiness preachers.

Rooted in Pentecostal Fire

Brush Arbor Publications also stands within the stream of classical Pentecostalism, which emphasizes the baptism in the Holy Ghost, with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues (Acts 2:4). We believe in the continuation of the gifts of the Spirit and the empowerment of believers for holy living and bold witness.

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me…” (Acts 1:8).

We publish materials that uphold Pentecostal distinctives not as curiosities of the past but as essential truths for present-day revival and renewal. The church today is in desperate need of spiritual power—not sensationalism, but the genuine operation of the Holy Ghost that convicts, heals, sanctifies, and sends.

Our heritage includes voices like William J. Seymour, Maria Woodworth-Etter, Aimee Semple McPherson, and others who preached Jesus Christ as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King. Their influence, shaped by fervent prayer, holiness of heart, and a hunger for God, continues to shape our editorial vision.

Faithful, Spirit-Filled, and Transformative

At Brush Arbor Publications, we hold ourselves to a high standard. Our materials must be faithful to the Word, filled with the Spirit, and capable of bringing transformation.

Faithful: We resist the temptation to compromise truth for popularity or soften biblical standards to appeal to modern tastes.

“Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding” (Proverbs 23:23).

In every publication, from devotional pamphlets to full-length books, we aim to speak truth in love (Ephesians 4:15) and honor the Lord in word and tone.

Spirit-Filled: It is not enough to produce technically correct theology or morally conservative content. Without the Holy Ghost, our labors are powerless.

“Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6).

We labor in prayer, submit our writings to the Spirit’s leading, and strive for spiritual unction in every line.

Transformative: The goal of our work is not entertainment or education alone, but sanctification. The Apostle Paul said:

“We preach Christ crucified…” (1 Corinthians 1:23),

and

“Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27).

We seek to produce materials that bring readers to the cross, through the empty tomb, and into Spirit-empowered living.

Equipping the Church and the Saints

We are not merely a publishing house. While we operate as a for profit business, we are a ministry. Our vision includes equipping:

Churches: Through resources for Sunday School, small groups, pastoral training, and doctrinal clarity.

Individuals: With devotional guides, personal holiness resources, and discipleship materials rooted in Scripture.

Ministries: By providing literature that strengthens outreach, deepens theology, and upholds biblical convictions.

“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets… for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:” (Ephesians 4:11–12).

This equipping mandate is central to our mission. We desire to see believers grow into “the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:13) and remain “rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith” (Colossians 2:7).

In Defense of Sound Doctrine

The Apostle Paul warned that “the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine” (2 Timothy 4:3). That time is now. The church today faces doctrinal erosion, moral ambiguity, and theological confusion.

Brush Arbor Publications is committed to contending for the faith once delivered unto the saints (Jude 1:3). We publish with clarity, conviction, and compassion. Whether defending the doctrine of sanctification, the baptism in the Holy Ghost, or the authority of Scripture, we aim to “earnestly contend” without being contentious and to “speak the truth in love” (Ephesians 4:15).

The Need for Revival Literature

Revival has often come through the printed page. From the tracts of Wesley and Whitefield to the holiness papers of the early 20th century, printed truth has stirred hearts, reformed churches, and launched movements.

Our prayer is that the Lord would use our humble efforts to ignite a fresh hunger for holiness, spiritual power, and biblical fidelity.

“Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?” (Psalm 85:6).

For the Glory of God Alone

Ultimately, Brush Arbor Publications exists not for self-promotion, profit, or prestige, but for the glory of God alone.

“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31).

We view our work as a sacred trust—a means of exalting Christ, edifying the church, and evangelizing the world. As Jesus said, “the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63). It is our joy to echo His Word, carried by the Spirit, to bring life to a dry and weary land.
