Ministry Partnerships

Preserving Ministry. Strengthening the Church.

Some of the most valuable Christian teaching is never written as a book. It is preached from a pulpit, taught in a classroom, shared at a camp meeting or conference, preserved in sermon notes and recordings, or passed from one generation of believers to another.

Brush Arbor Publications works with churches, ministries, and Christian organizations to help preserve worthwhile biblical teaching and make it available to a wider audience.

Our ministry partnerships can take different forms. A church may have years of sermons or historical material worth preserving. A ministry may want to develop a collection of messages around a particular subject. A conference or camp meeting may wish to preserve selected preaching from its services. A Christian organization may have teaching materials that would benefit from being edited and prepared for publication.

In each case, our goal is not simply to produce another book. We want to help preserve material that has continuing value to the Church.

Sermons and Ministry Collections

Preaching is intended first to be heard, and we believe published sermons should retain the character and voice of the person who preached them. At the same time, spoken messages often require careful editing before they work well on the printed page.

Brush Arbor Publications can work from manuscripts, sermon notes, transcripts, audio recordings, or combinations of available material to prepare sermons and teaching for publication. Our aim is to preserve the minister’s message and voice while providing the editorial work necessary for clear and readable publication.

Projects may include the sermons of an individual minister, collections involving several ministers, conference or camp meeting messages, topical collections, or material drawn from the teaching ministry of a church or organization.

Preserving Ministry History

Church and ministry history can disappear surprisingly quickly. Photographs become unidentified, documents are misplaced, recordings become inaccessible, and the people who remember important events eventually pass from the scene.

Publishing can help preserve that history.

Brush Arbor Publications is interested in working with churches, ministries, and families to preserve histories, testimonies, photographs, documents, biographies, and other records of Christian service. Such projects can provide a permanent record for those who participated in the ministry while also allowing another generation to learn from those who came before them.

Partnership, Not Simply Publication

A ministry publishing project should reflect the purpose of the ministry from which it came. For that reason, we seek to work cooperatively with the churches, ministries, families, and organizations that entrust material to us.

The structure of each partnership will depend upon the project. Some may involve a single publication. Others may develop into an ongoing series or continuing publishing relationship. Responsibilities, permissions, financial arrangements, distribution, and ownership are established according to the needs of the particular project before publication begins.

Whatever the arrangement, Brush Arbor Publications seeks to approach the work with biblical fidelity, editorial integrity, responsible attribution, and respect for the ministry being preserved.

Begin a Conversation

If your church, ministry, conference, or Christian organization has sermons, teaching, historical material, or another publishing project that you believe should be preserved, we would be glad to hear about it.

An initial inquiry does not require a finished manuscript or formal proposal. Tell us about your ministry, the material you have, what you hope to preserve or publish, and who you hope the finished work will serve.

Our purpose is simple: to preserve sound biblical teaching by placing it into the hands of this generation and the generations to come.
